I think people will grow to like it. It may take a little time, but if you were to put this next to the old design, I think it'd make the old design look very dated.

Well, it's a darn sight better looking than the R75 facelift, not that that would be difficult!

Looks better on the ZT than the 75. I'd have rather they'd done this to the MG and effectively given it its own identity and left the 75 alone or just done very minor tweaks to it.

Much better than the current ZT, by FAR. And also better than the 75 facelift. LOOKS GREAT!! If they had kept the facelift 75 looking more like the original it would make the facelift ZT even more special, but now the are too simular.

Agree with you totally Lord Minty, the ZT should have looked like this from the word go, left the 75 alone and focused on the 45/ZS, 25/ZR and CityRover.

Personally I do not like the facelift, it reminds me of the Rover 25 off roader (style) model. This is a lost opportunity, where are the side skirts and deeper scoop type front spoiler ? This car really has got to stand out from the crowd because the British car buying public tend to ignore British cars

OH DEAR, OH DEAR, OH DEAR!! What is becoming of MG-Rover, I so hope the final product is nothing like this photo-shop version.
I say keep the dual hedlamp version(MG X-power 500 version looks great)!!!
Theres nothing better than looking in your rear view mirror and seeing an MG ZT, with that British bull dog attitude. There is absolutly no attitude in the new version.
Its supposed to be a sports saloon and it now seems like its going to loose its identity!!
It looks lame, tame and unimpressive.
Wake up MG-Rover!!!!

Well said bugsy, I agree completely.
I am very pleased with my trophy blue ZT+190 but I would still like side skirts and a deeper spoiler

Bugsy - I think you'll find that the agressiveness of the current ZT is costing it sales - it simple is to agressive for the market its aimed at.

I've just taken delivery of an 'old style' CDTi and part of the attraction was the external style. I would have hesitated if it looked like this, the new style has watered down it's distinction and character.
